Frequently Asked Questions
How long does the new patient admission process with initial examination usually take?
New patient admission, including the initial exam, usually takes from 30 to 50 minutes, depending on your health condition and whether you want to receive the first treatment on the same day.
How long does a treatment usually take for a continuing or returning patient?
Treatments for those who are already patients of Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center usually take 10 to 20 minutes, depending on your health condition. You may want to call to schedule your appointment in advance at (415) 874-9669, or you may submit an appointment request online for your next visit.
My child needs a sports physical examination required by school. Should I accompany my child to the clinic?
The parent or guardian must accompany any child who is a minor. You may be with your child during the physical exam or remain in the waiting area. The exam is shorter than the regular physical examination for an adult, and it takes about 15 to 30 minutes. An x-ray exam is generally not required by schools.
Is an x-ray examination required as part of the new patient examination?
No. Dr. Park is thoroughly trained with a degree in Radiography, and he is a certified Radiology supervisor and operator in the state of California. He understands that, depending on the patient’s health condition, many patients may not require an x-ray exam but can receive an accurate diagnosis through chiropractic evaluation and testing with proper equipment. He knows how radiation can affect the human body, and, in order to reduce the adverse effects of radiation, he only recommends a diagnostic x-ray image when it is absolutely necessary.
I really don’t have time to come to the clinic. Is Dr. Park able to visit me at my home or office?
Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center will work with your employer to provide chiropractic care at the office. Through this program, employees can receive on-site consultation, examination, and treatment while at work. Families can arrange for house call visits at the home for multiple family members. All you need to do is contact Dr. Park to set up the program for your business, your family, or both.
What types of treatment does Dr. Park provide to his patients?
Dr. Park will select the proper type of the treatment that will produce the best results for your condition during the initial visit. It will be carefully chosen based on your health condition.
My hectic work schedule makes scheduling in advance difficult. Can I just walk into the clinic at my convenience for a new patient examination or follow-up treatment?
Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center understands that many patients have busy schedules, and we will always do our best to accommodate them. You are welcome to just walk in anytime the clinic is open (scroll down to see hours). To make this even easier, Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center remains open during the lunch hour and in the late afternoon just so people like you can conveniently visit the clinic. However, during heavy times when there are scheduled patients already waiting, you may need to wait until they have completed their sessions with Dr. Park. Your session will be inserted between scheduled sessions as quickly as possible. Relax and enjoy a cup of espresso while you wait.
I don’t have time to make a phone call to request an appointment. Can I schedule it online?
If time doesn’t allow for a phone call, you can request an appointment for a convenient time of day through this website. Once we see your submission, we will find an available time in the time of day that you have indicated. We will contact you by phone to confirm the appointment with you, or find another one if your requested time is not available. Be sure to include a phone number where you can be reached. You can also schedule your appointment by calling (415) 874-9669.
I prefer to set up an appointment by phone. Will someone be available to take my call?
During heavy times at the clinic, you might receive the clinic’s voicemail. You can leave a message with your appointment request, and the clinic will return your call as soon as possible to speak with you in person.
I want to be a new patient of Park Chiropractic Clinic. What do I need to do now?
Your first step is to request an appointment over the phone or through this website. Once you come to the clinic, your next step will be to fill out a new patient intake form as required by law. You may do this on the convenient touch screen, and it will become part of your medical record.
Will I be pressured to sign a long-term plan upon completion of the initial physical evaluation and examination?
Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center provides all treatments without requiring a long-term plan. Of course, Dr. Park will address the detailed findings of your evaluation and indicate how long it will take to bring about recuperation from your current health condition. You can decide to follow his recommendation and continue the recommended number of visits voluntarily without signing up for a long-term plan. This is one of the ways that Dr. Park focuses on patient-centered care in a zero-pressure atmosphere at Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center.
I want to visit the clinic for my back and muscle pain, but my finances are tight. How much should I expect the treatment to cost?
Cost for the treatment will vary because types of treatment are carefully determined for each individual’s health condition and need. Also, the time that a condition has existed can affect the timeframe of treatment. It will take longer to bring about recuperation if you have had the condition for a long time. Dr. Park promises to provide high-quality care to help you see results as soon as possible and provides a pay-per-visit option for treatments to reduce your financial stress. In addition, Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center offers special patient appreciation events that may provide extra savings for you. These are updated every month, so check back often to take advantage of them.
Does the clinic provide any reduced-cost arrangement for education or military personnel?
Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center offers a 15% discount off standard fees on all routine treatments and examinations through 12/31/2015 to students and faculty with valid ID. Proof of eligibility is a plastic or paper card or other document issued by the school, school district, college, or university that shows active enrollment or employment in the current year, the person’s name, and the name of the school.
Park Chiropractic Clinic & Wellness Center also offers a 20% discount off standard fees on all routine treatments and examinations through 12/31/2015 to active duty military personnel and veterans of the U.S. armed forces with valid ID. In addition, Dr. Park will provide a superbill (itemized receipt) with details of diagnostic codes and treatment codes and fees upon request.
